It is MSG based, which I have no issue with, but many avoid it. I do wish they would remove the food dyes, which are unnecessary. If they had a dye-free version, it would be a staple in my pantry. I added it to a Paella dish and a stew dish and also in a rice dish, all recipes I've made before. I don't think it added much to the stew, I couldn't really detect any difference in how the stew usually tastes without it. However, I thought it was a good addition to the Paella and added that little something extra to the dish, along with the rice that I made as a side at another dinner.

Overall, it's easy to use and incorporate into a lot of dishes but I'm not sure it's always necessary or detectable.
